Updates for September 2009

1) There will be a session this saturday for everyone, Bunnies, Munchkins and Chicklets. 26th Sep, 330pm to 6pm. Bring your writing materials and zip-loc bag.

2) Our attendance at daily mass on mondays (and other days) is still on going. Do your best to come. If you are going alone (on a week day other than Monday) and would like company, you can message me (by 5:55pm) and I'll do my best to join you.

3) Sessions have been cut back because of preliminary examinations and the bulk of you guys are busy with school. BUT we'll definitely be back very soon. If you feel you'll still like some input or to come to church to pray and de-stress, let me know so we can arrange for this to happen.

4) I'd like to know who is interested in helping out at confirmation retreat, dates are: 4th to 7th December (Friday to Monday) and 13 December for the mass. Roles available are: logistics and maybe facilitator. All YC are requested to be available for the mass. Seniors and super seniors have the option to stay overnight to help prepare for the End of Year retreat.

5) End of year retreat is confirmed. Dates are : 14th to 16th December (Monday to Wednesday). Your attendance is required. Let us know if you need a consent form. It will be held in church, catechism block level 3. A packing list will be sent out closer to the date.

6) Beach outing. I'm kinda considering a beach outing some time in october. Those who are keen, please let me know.

For all of the above, please contact Roy with your response if a response is required.

Point to note, please read your emails and sms-es carefully as those who communicate with you guys encounter this problem: you ask questions about and for information that is already in the messages sent out to you. For example: Where will the End of Year retreat be. Or. When is confirmation retreat.

Farewell Dinner for Fr Joe and Fr Luke

The church will be having a farewell dinner for Fr Joe and Fr Luke on
19 Sept 2009, Saturday.
It'll be at 8pm.
Cost to be confirmed, please check back for details. I'll put a very big "Edit!" so that everyone knows that this post has been updated.

As a token of appreciation to Fr Joe & Fr Luke, the church community will also be putting a scrapbook together for them. This coming weekend, there will be counters outside church, for parishioners (us inclusive) to pen our thoughts, feelings, gratitude & thanksgivings etc. This will be compiled and then presented to Fr Joe & Fr Luke during the dinner.

Now, for the very important stuff:
1. Please RSVP Rene to confirm your attendance for the dinner BY 10 SEPT, THURSDAY. People from CJ, please sms Ivy (by 8 Sept) so that we can try to get leave as a group from J2 retreat.
2. Those who want to help out for the dinner (logistics or emcee etc) OR help out for the cleaning up, please send your names to Roy.
3. Those who have ideas on what we should do during the dinner, please send your names and ideas to Roy also.

Please do try your best to come down for the YM Mass for September. It's the last time we're having such a mass or Holy Hour (on the YM level) with Fr Luke, so do leave out the time for it on your calendar. :)
